Reviewing Service B
Now that you’re past your first service A for your luxury automobile, what’s next? Mercedes B service repeats some of the initial services that need to be done frequently and extends the reach to cover points that are needed less often. For instance, the oil and filter change is done again. This is important because dirty oil can’t protect your engine as well as it should. It may not lubricate the moving parts completely or absorb heat as well. Further, if it can no longer suspend dirt particles, sludge can begin to form. Likewise, all fluids are again checked, and fluid is added if necessary to return each one to its optimal level. We’ll also take a look at your car’s brakes. It’s important to monitor general conditions, paying particular attention to the pads. These consumable items don’t last forever, even though they’re somewhat durable. Once they wear thinner than their usable thickness, we’ll need to change them. During the B visit, we also change the brake fluid to be sure no contaminants are present to interfere with the hydraulic process and your ability to stop your automobile. We’ll also check your tire pressure, adjust if necessary, and monitor the general condition of your treads. One of our technicians will also change the cabin dust/combination filter. Finally, we’ll reset the maintenance minder before sending you on your way.
