An Overview of Mercedes A Service
Nearly every Mercedes-Benz driver knows about the need for A service, but not everyone understands exactly what that entails. We’re happy to provide an overview of what to expect and why. To help ensure that important points aren’t missed, the automaker created checklists that are better known as Mercedes A & B. The A visit should first occur sooner than the 10,000-mile mark or one year. Service B is scheduled at 20,000 miles or two years. Once you fall into the appropriate rhythm, A service should be performed every 20,000 miles, alternating with the more extensive visit. This simpler/first checklist includes all the basic service points all cars need, just tailored specifically to your brand. For instance, the oil and filter are changed. This ensures a sufficient amount of clean lubricant so that your engine is lubricated and protected, reducing the risks of excessive wear and sludge formation. We’ll also check and top the fluid levels to ensure that your auto has enough coolant, brake, transmission, and power steering fluid. We’ll also check your tire inflation because over or under inflating them causes wear and/or damage. We’ll monitor your brakes, too, to ensure the pads aren’t worn too thin. Finally, we’ll reset the maintenance counter.

That’s because Foreign Auto Services understands that getting preventive maintenance shouldn’t be difficult. If you can bring your car for service when we’re open, that’s great. We love seeing you and speaking with you in person. However, there are alternatives that better fit your schedule. Use our concierge service or take advantage of our after-hours drop-off/pick-up. Turnaround times are typically quick, so you may decide to wait here. If so, you’ll be able to use our complimentary Wi-Fi. If you leave your automobile with us, keep moving with ride-sharing, free local shuttles, and loaner cars. We’ll keep you posted with texts or emails detailing the progress of your vehicle. We’ll also return your car to you cleaner than it arrived. Further, we take cash, checks, cards, and phone app payments. Financing is available, too. Should we discover that your transportation needs additional work, our repairs are covered by a phenomenal 36-month/36,000-mile warranty.
